Brian's pick of news stories this week includes cyclists who cycled between Inverness and Aberdeen  Maggies' Centres to raise money for the cancer support charity and a selfless technician in Harlaw Academy who gave thousands of extra hours to helping the pupils and helping them to raise lots of cash for good causes.

Brian Presented another crop of good news stories taken from the Evening Express.  We thank Torry St Fitticks Church for giving us the space to record this edition.

Hanover Street School crowned Scottish Champions in the Better Energy School Awards!

Great news for Hanover Street School which has been crowned Scottish champion in the Better Energy School Awards for their project ‘Save the Busy Bees’. The project was created by Primary 2 and 3 pupils with teacher Mrs. Elrick and you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUWmy_GRb4c.

As winners in Scotland, six pupils and three adults from the school are invited to London Zoo on Thursday 15 June for the awards ceremony and for the presentation of the overall UK winner. Fingers crossed for the school becoming UK champions too!

Subjects include  Volunteer Ranger Team, Volunteer work, our Nature Reserves, Dangers of Fire on Countryside Sites, talks to schools, National Science and Engineering Week, Ranger Service Events.
