Community Element - Allotments

You can buy fruit and veg from the Allotment Market Stall in Seaton Park and Duthie Park Fridays from July 10.30 am to 3 pm

Brian Presented another crop of good news stories taken from the Evening Express.  We thank Torry St Fitticks Church for giving us the space to record this edition. 

In this quality crop of stories, a lady blind for many years gets to see her family again, thanks to an amazing pasir of specs.  You can contribute to her sight by visiting the Just Giving Page:  - Help Diane See Again.

Hanover Street School crowned Scottish Champions in the Better Energy School Awards!

Great news for Hanover Street School which has been crowned Scottish champion in the Better Energy School Awards for their project ‘Save the Busy Bees’. The project was created by Primary 2 and 3 pupils with teacher Mrs. Elrick and you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUWmy_GRb4c.

As winners in Scotland, six pupils and three adults from the school are invited to London Zoo on Thursday 15 June for the awards ceremony and for the presentation of the overall UK winner. Fingers crossed for the school becoming UK champions too!

It was good to have, Rangers Duncan, Jen and Simon on to the Community Elements Program.

Subjects include  Volunteer Ranger Team, Volunteer work, our Nature Reserves, Dangers of Fire on Countryside Sites, talks to schools, National Science and Engineering Week, Ranger Service Events.
