A woman battling a brain tumour and told she had only 12 months has bucked medical opinion to celebrate her 40th Birthday to raise £10,000 for Clan Cancer Care. In this edition, youngsters in the Garthdee area have been engaged in deloping, producing and siting dog poo bag holders to highlight the menace of dog poo in the area. The scheme involves a competition where parents photograph and l the poo bag holders in situ and submit to Garthdee Community Counci  with a chance for the winning design to win £100 in vouchers.  submit by email to garthdeecc@gmail.com

Lewis Edgar who is a Graphic Designer from Aberdeen is shining a light on mental health.  Fandabby has helped Lewis through depression, anxiety and PTSD.  Profits from Fandabby will go to YoungMinds and Rethink Mental Illness.  Both these organisations support and promote Lewis's project.

In today's edition,  An Aberdeen woman has pledged to undertake running in a number of running challenges totalling 175 km to raise Money for Myeloma UK after her dad was diagnosed with multiple Myloma.  She hopes he will be at the finish line in Glasgow to cheer her on.

60 people braved low temperatures in a car park to raise awareness of the conditions experienced by rough sleepers and to raise money for http://aberdeen-cyrenians.com

Friends of Anchor have donated £12950 to purchase a GE Ultrasound machine which allows medical professionals to allow catheter lines accurately.  THis allows for many treatments, and tests.  The unit has minimised times to about 30 minutes for staff and made things easier for patients.  To find out more about Friends of Anchor, visit http://www.balmoral-group.com/foa/

12 Teachers from Aberdeen Grammar are to tackle the 3 highest peaks in the UK in 24 hous to raise funds for Clic Sargent.  One of the Grammar's pupil's was successfully treated for cancer. Surfers Against Sewage have undertaken an emergency beach clean at Torry Battery and Harbour.  50 volunteers picked up 70 large bags of rubbish.  There is another beach clean 7 April 2 pm - 4 pm to N end of beach. https://www.sas.org.uk/
