Interview with Emma Weaver - Development Co-ordinator for Try Praying
Thursday Jan 29, 2026
Thursday Jan 29, 2026
This is one of those interviews I wanted to make available today. Earlier I spoke to Emma Weaver - Development Co-ordinator for Try Praying whose banners you may have seen on the sides of buses, posters by churches or you may have one of their leaflets now in 12 languages that go out to 12 countries and to service men and women around the world.
Its very clear that this 27 minute interview is but a short introduction and gives some insight into how prayer can really transform lives.

'GOSPEL CAFE'
Saturday Jan 24, 2026
Saturday Jan 24, 2026
Gospel Cafe is one of the flagship programmes for Gospel4Grampian. Its a vehicle for taking the Gospel - God's Rescue Plan Jesus Christ out to communities. The Church is a family of people from different denominations who love God with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour'. We have been cleansed and are alive in Christ to take this love to the people around us.
The heart of Gospel4Grampian is to even at a local level because Aberdeen is a multinational city and at an international level because the radio station goes to anywhere that has an internet connection - to take this Good News we profess to language groups around the world and by Grace on terrestrial radio 2 hours a week. We broadcast this Good News contained in John 3:16 to now 128 language groups. On the way, we want to encourage believers in different parts of the world to partner with us, to be encouraged to take Christ's Love to people around them. Imagine how you might react if you not only were able to hear the Gospel in your own language but see and experience this love for your self in a way free from anything you would experience in the world, in the languages of love and unity.
This edition draws on recordings, interviews made throughout our nearly 20 years of broadcasting. We hope that you will be encouraged and heartened by what you hear and will share with others. We want to build a vibrant radio network where God is honoured, Christ is lifted high, The Gospel is made known in Love, Unity, thought, word and deed where people are informed, engaged, loved, encouraged and made whole. This is a vision only God can fulfil. Be in this Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

United Nations Statistics:Young People’s Potential, the Key to Africa’s Sustainable Development
“Africa has the youngest population in the world, with 70% of sub-Saharan Africa under the age of 30.
Having a young population brings many opportunities for economic growth and innovation, if these opportunities can be recognised and utilised.”
How important is Vision Inspiration in building Youth in KZN?
Vision is the ability to see further than your eyes can look -Dr. Myles Munroe. If you don't have sight, you remain a slave to your experiences and not student of your possibilities.
What measures are Youth Leaders instilling in their programmes to direct Youth so that they can comprehend the assurance of our Creator on your life has purpose?
'“For I know the plans I have for you,' says the LORD. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope'” (Jeremiah 29:11). “We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps” (Proverbs 16:9). “You can make many plans, but the LORD's purpose will prevail” (Proverbs 19:21).
United Nations report - Nickson Kasolene, the youth and civil society representative of the Coordination
Meeting of Youth Organisations (ICMYO), commented in an interview “Engage youth, create a space
for them and give them a seat at the table,” "Don’t just offer this seat passively, but empower young people to actually use it. Young people have potential and young people have collective power, with
the guidance of the government they can use that power.”
Process for creating space for Youth
God reveals to Moses the teams anointed for the building project
Exodus 31 Bezalel and Oholiab
1Then the Lord said to Moses, 2“See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— 4to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 5to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts. 6Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you: 7the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent— 8the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense, 9the altar of burnt offering and all itsutensils, the basin with its stand— 10and also the woven garments, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests, 11and the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them just as I commanded you.”
Moses then announces the role of the skillful team to the congregation so that the Israelites submit to the roles for the purposes of completing the building project Exodus 35. 30 Bezalel and Oholiab 30Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the LORD has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 31and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— 32to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 33to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts. 34And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others. 35He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers. “It's like everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Always. All the time. That story makes you what you are. We build ourselves out of that story.” ― Patrick Rothfuss,
Psalm 139 (God created you, say this “you are not a mistake”) For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
