At the top of the bill and our favourite this week - a woman has been distributing positive messages around the Cove area of Aberdeen to brighten someon's day and help those who suffer in silence with mental illness.
Clan Cancer Support has opened a new sensory Garden at its Aberdeen Base. The garden names in memory of Aberdeen Standard Investments employee Suzanne McKechte Skinner and is for those attending the Aberdeen Hospitals for treatment. The sensory garden was made possible through funding from Aberdeen Standard Investments Charitable Foundation and Technip FMC.
Roxburghe House Hospice has a newly kitted out playroom. This is thanks to Little Acorn Nursery who raised £2,121 and SPAR Roxburghe who donated £3,000 accrued from the plastic bag levy.
The boss of Y Foundation in Finland believes success in tackling homelessness in Finland can happen in Aberdeen. Juha Kaakinen is lending his support to homeless charity Social Bite who is organising sleep outs in Aberdeen and 3 other cities around Scotland. Social Bite has put £3,000,000 towards this housing project.
