The Truth will set you free

Applying God's Word in prayer as found in the Bible, our theme is The Truth will set you free.  These words are found in John 8 verses 31-36.  These verses end with ' So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'
The program includes 2 thoughts from Angus Buchan on two of life's choices and deception.  Donnie Stewart, a Minister from the Isle of Lewis shares a thought on being reconciled to God through a price already paid.  
Sandra Smith ends the podcast reading a collection of scriptures collated into The Father's Love Letter.

Mindfulness and Prayer

As part of Gospel Cafe today, we've been having a few mindfulness moments from this dip in book by Rev Tim Heaton on Gillingham in Dorset. This led on to a prayer to pray about our world leaders and the pandemic. I see God's hand in this.

The bible scriptures this week lead to Love. What is our response to God's Love and the commandment to Love God with everything we are and Love our neighbour as ourselves.
Hosea 10:12:  I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness,
    and you will harvest a crop of love.
Plow up the hard ground of your hearts,
    for now is the time to seek the Lord,
that he may come
    and shower righteousness upon you.’
Amos 6:12: Can horses gallop over boulders?
    Can oxen be used to plow them?
But that’s how foolish you are when you turn justice into poison
    and the sweet fruit of righteousness into bitterness.
Leviticus 19:18
“Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

28 One of the teachers of religious law was standing there listening to the debate. He realized that Jesus had answered well, so he asked, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
