Power Hour - Do Not Deceive Yourselves
These are program guidance notes.
First there are pertinent prayer needs - 1 Thessalonians 5:17 New International Version (NIV)
17 pray continually,
Philippians 4: 6-7Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
With that in mind Lord- we bring before you the sharp contrast of drought and the threat of severe famine in Kenya, global warming with ice sheets melting faster than expected and dams about to burst in Whaley Bridge. You are Jehovah Ezer - The Lord our helper, Jehovah Shammah - The Lord who is there present. You are Jehovah Shalom- The Lord My Peace. Only you can give peace and help at this time - homes flooded, people dying from hunger and thirst. You are Jehovah Tsidkenu- - you can change the hearts of politicians to bring right decisions to make the necessary changes. Above all we need you.
With that in mind, we bring before the crazy laws and rulings that affect so many families even here in the UK that stop people getting Justice and the help they need with their families. You are the Lord our Righteoughness. Help make render right decisions. Over turn unjust decisions.
Now the main program
Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to his word; instead, put it into practice.
James 1:22 GNT
James 2:14-26
Faith and Actions
14 My friends, what good is it for one of you to say that you have faith if your actions do not prove it? Can that faith save you? 15 Suppose there are brothers or sisters who need clothes and don't have enough to eat. 16 What good is there in your saying to them, “God bless you! Keep warm and eat well!”—if you don't give them the necessities of life? 17 So it is with faith: if it is alone and includes no actions, then it is dead.
18 But someone will say, “One person has faith, another has actions.” My answer is, “Show me how anyone can have faith without actions. I will show you my faith by my actions.” 19 Do you believe that there is only one God? Good! The demons also believe—and tremble with fear. 20 You fool! Do you want to be shown that faith without actions is useless?[a] 21 How was our ancestor Abraham put right with God? It was through his actions, when he offered his son Isaac on the altar. 22 Can't you see? His faith and his actions worked together; his faith was made perfect through his actions. 23 And the scripture came true that said, “Abraham believed God, and because of his faith God accepted him as righteous.” And so Abraham was called God's friend. 24 You see, then, that it is by our actions that we are put right with God, and not by our faith alone.
25 It was the same with the prostitute Rahab. She was put right with God through her actions, by welcoming the Israelite spies and helping them to escape by a different road.
26 So then, as the body without the spirit is dead, also faith without actions is dead.
John 4:35 Good News Translation (GNT)
35 You have a saying, ‘Four more months and then the harvest.’ But I tell you, take a good look at the fields; the crops are now ripe and ready to be harvested!
During the programmes, Rob relies on God to furnish scriptures, format and words. God did that again today as before.
In the light of the need to put faith into action, Rob broadcast all the languages which John 3:16 has been spoken and broadcast over recent months on Gospel4Grampian. The podcasts of the show and languages are listed below. We invite you to listen and do your bit to share.

Watch and Pray
What are we watching for?
Our reactions to news
Reactions to each other
Reactions to gossip
Things that distract
Allowing Our selves chains of thought which lead us away from God -things that need to be done, said, relationships, things we want, need, financial constraints.
The only thing we can do is pray. It's too easy to promise something and then to break that promise. I’ve found that bringing my concerns, failures and prayers to God results in a clearer head and a knowledge of what to do to resolve the situation. Prayer works.
Matthew 26:41
Keep watch and pray that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Mark 14:38
And he said to them, “Keep watch, and pray that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Luke 21:36
Be on watch and pray always that you will have the strength to go safely through all those things that will happen and to stand before the Son of Man.”
1 Peter 3:12
For the Lord watches over the righteous and listens to their prayers; but he opposes those who do evil.”

Power Hour - ' The Most Important....'
Friday Jul 12, 2019
Friday Jul 12, 2019
Power Hour is about applying God's Word in Prayer.
Jesus highlighted several things by what he said and did while on earth. The most important is.
Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. (Mark 112 verse 29)
This edition seeks to provide more clarity to what Jesus said. We use prayer to do this.
The following scriptures were used.
Mark 12:28
[ The Most Important Commandment ] One of the teachers of religious law was standing there listening to the debate. He realized that Jesus had answered well, so he asked, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
Luke 10:25
[ The Most Important Commandment ] One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?”
27 The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”[c]
28 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!”
1 Corinthians 12:22
In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary.
1 Corinthians 15:3
I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as theScriptures said.
2 Peter 3:3
Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires.

Friday May 24, 2019
Power Hour is the belief that applying God's Word - scripture from the bible in prayer that can can does make a huge difference. Through prayer - talking to God about different issues, Christians gain understanding and wisdom and can deepen faith through action.
In today's edition - Christians, aka Believers need to take on the share of responsibility re Climate Change. We are told in
Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.
Romans 12:10 NLT

Let's remind ourselves of Genesis 1 and 2.

Power Hour - Producing Fruit
Friday Apr 26, 2019
Friday Apr 26, 2019
Applying God's Word in Prayer.
Fruitfulness of a tree or crop depends on the root stock. Even in stony soil, root stock that delves deep is likely to enable a tree to survive in times of drought or hardship.
Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
Hebrew 7:25
Jeremiah 17:5-10
Wisdom from the Lord
5
This is what the Lord says:“Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord.
6
They are like stunted shrubs in the desert, with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.
7
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
8
They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water.Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.
9
“The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?
10
But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives.I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”
