Gospel4You - 'The Word'

The Bible is God inspired. God brings his Word through this book by His Spirit.  God's Spirit lives in believers.  So being a Christian is about not just reading and believing but putting God's Word into practice - responding to God's Word through The Spirit.

John 1:1-4

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² He was with God in the beginning. ³ Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. ⁴ In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

 

Two of the most important commandments Jesus gave were.

³⁷ Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’^[c] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. ³⁹ And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’^[d] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
