Kingdom Come - Values and a Personal Relationship with Christ
Saturday Aug 16, 2025
Saturday Aug 16, 2025
Pastor Fergus and Jessica Priest discuss the importance of Values and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
They take as the scripture. Philippians 3: 7-11
7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in[a] Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. 10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

This is Gospel4You international 'God’s faithfulness..' in English, Italian, French, Dutch, German, Russian, Arabic, Chinese Traditional, Japanese, Filipino Taglog, Portugues, Spanish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Gujarati, Korean
It takes the form of a testimony. This is something that happened to me today and it’s something I believe is worth people knowing.
I give thanks to God for a wonderful miracle. Today as I was walking to the studio, suddenly from above a large section of either scaffolding or lead piping fell down from a building about a meter from me or even less. Yet I carried on walking deep and thought and suddenly aware of what had happened. I’m still coming to terms with it but I have to say I believe it can only have been through God ordering my steps as his word says. God protected me when I needed it most and I thank God for that. This is my testimony..
it is a reality check of God‘s goodness made possible through His Son Jesus Christ.

Topic: Youth, living to please God
1 Thessalonians 4.1As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. 2For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.
3It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4that each of you should learn to control your own body a in a way that is holy and honorable, 5not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; 6and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. b The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. 7For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.

Gospel4You - Gospel4You International - 'Value'
Monday Jul 14, 2025
Monday Jul 14, 2025
For this broadcast, we turn to our sister program - Gospel4You International- Gospel Messages as short program segments in different languages.
We hear the following message in English, French, Filipino Taglog, Russian, Arabic and Korean
This is Gospel4You International - VALUE in English
How is value defined? The Oxford language dictionary defines Value is the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something..
The word ‘value’ occurs 58 times in the bible. We’ll be taking a small portion of these scriptures in the context of how God defines value and will let God’s Word speak for itself and the words that Jesus spoke.
The prophet Zechariah foretells the betrayal price Judas Iscariot would receive for betraying Jesus.
Zechariah 11:13
And the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—the handsome price at which they valued me! So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter at the house of the Lord.
Great value is placed on Faith and obedience.
Hebrews 4:2For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.
The following scripture tells how Moses who experienced God speaking from the burning bush near Mount Sinai- His trust in God developed through all he experienced.
Hebrews 11:26He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.
In his letter to Timothy, Paul says
1 Timothy 4:8
For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
Jesus used short stories - parables as a form of analogy. It was left up to those with enquiring hearts to search out their true meaning.
Matthew 13: verses 24 - 30
The Parable of the Weeds
Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
“The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
“‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.
“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
“‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”
From verses 36 - 43
Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”
He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
“As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.
So this happens to individuals but can we expect the world to go on forever?
Peter tells us.
2 Peter 3:10-12
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.
Jesus told more parables to illustrate the level of how our response should be to the Kingdom of Heaven - Putting all worldly values aside.
From Matthew 13 verses 44 - 46
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
The Apostle Paul is speaking to the early church to inspire Godly values that will endure when Christ returns.
In Summary What sort of values should we have?
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Thessalonians 1:3
We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:8
But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
Applying these values can inspire those around us to take notice and action before it is too late.
The Faith we profess is the realisation that God’s values are so far above ours. Our lives can never come up to God’s values so, in his infinite love, God sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the debt we have to make us right with God. This only comes in to action when we believe and confess in the first place. Without accepting this gift, we do not have God living in us and our destiny is that of the weeds in the parable.
Acts 16:31
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
We’re telling you this Good News. What is your response? What of the countless millions who die each day without hearing this Good News.
The modern hymn by Keith and Kristyn Getty contains these words..
‘Unnumbered souls are dying
And pass into the night’
This gets me….

Topic: What Are You Listening To?
If a ruler listens to lies, all his officials become wicked. Proverbs 29.12
“Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, “I am the
Messiah,” and will deceive many.” Matthew 24.4
“For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down. But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to
you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short. 17…and went off to wage
war against the rest of her offspring - those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their
testimony about Jesus.” Revelations 12.10-17

Topic: Free from the Power of Sin
Romans 6.23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Cor 15.56 For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law (judges) gives sin its power. 57But
thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Galatians 5.19-21 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20
idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21
and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will
not inherit the kingdom of God.
Ephesians 4.26-27 “In your anger do not sin” : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27
and do not give the devil a foothold.
James 1.13 Don't blame God when you are tempted! God cannot be tempted by evil, and he doesn't
use evil to tempt others. 14We are tempted by our own desires that drag us off and trap us. 15Our
desires make us sin, and when sin is finished with us, it leaves us dead.

This map gives an idea of our current reach. Bit by bit, we are attaining this vision.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
