Aberdeen’s Christmas Village returns to Aberdeen from 21 November to 31 December. The village will be sited on Broad Street and Upper Kirkgate and the quad of Marischal College. The village is now in its 5th year. The main organisers are Aberdeen Inspired along with Aberdeen City Council and Codonas Amusement Park
In amidst the celebrations, what is the real reason for Christmas? Brian shared a few thoughts and scriptures.
“Isn’t this fantastic that the Creator of the universe should come to live in his creation. As creator, Jesus knew everything about His creation. And he knows all about us, our actions and our thoughts.”
Bible Passages from Biblegateway.com
New King James Version
Matthew 1:20-23
20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is [a]conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name [b]Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
Romans 3:23
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Power Hour - Now is The Time
Friday Nov 08, 2019
Friday Nov 08, 2019
Power Hour is about applying God's Word - Scripture Contained in the Bible in prayer.
The theme for today has been inspired by Sandy Garvock who heads up Fishermen's Mission in Peterhead. Sandy came in to give a powerful testimony which we will be broadcasting tonight.
The scripture we will use will be Ecclesiastes 3: and particularly
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,a time to plant and a time to uproot,3 a time to kill and a time to heal,a time to tear down and a time to build,4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,a time to mourn and a time to dance,5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,6 a time to search and a time to give up,a time to keep and a time to throw away,7 a time to tear and a time to mend,a time to be silent and a time to speak,8 a time to love and a time to hate,a time for war and a time for peace.
Mark 1:15 Common English Bible (CEB)
15 saying, “Now is the time! Here comes God’s kingdom! Change your hearts and lives, and trust this good news!”

North East Disabled Veterans Association- Brian picked up on the under recognised work of this organisation which meets at Mastrick Community Centre and seeks to provide a warm welcome to disabled veteran service men and women who are often 'dropped like a hot potato' from their employment and friends. The Association provides not only camaraderie but a listening ear and are given confidence to walk forward in their lives.
The North East Veterans Association is funded entirely by public donations. They receive NO funding from Government, Council or funding organisations. Their plans are to provide a service 7 days a week from a dedicated building. It is at least something that the Trinity Centre has been very supportive.
Rob went to speak to Chairman Ron Robertson at their stand at the Trinity Centre.

Thursday Nov 07, 2019
Sandy Garvock who heads up The Fishermen's Mission in Peterhead came in to give his amazing testimony. A shorter video edition made by The Apex Church in Peterhead is available. It was this which spurred Sandy on to being an Evangelist and giving his Testimony wherever possible.
Sandy grew up in Peterhead. His early life involved drink. He worked as a bouncer and an enforcer and saw 5 friends die in a car accident. Through a series of encounters, Sandy realised God had a call on his life.
Since accepting Christ into his life, Sandy travels widely to tell what God has done in His life and is very happy to share his testimony.

'Therefore Go'
Our vision is to get the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ Son of God to people of every language group across the world and in such away that All can hear, see and experience Christ's Love for themselves.
This map gives an idea of our current reach. Bit by bit, we are attaining this vision.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
