The Allotment Market Stall
Saturday Jul 27, 2019
Saturday Jul 27, 2019
The Allotment Market Stall (TAMS) is based in Aberdeen, Scotland and was established in 2012. Since then it has brought seasonal, fresh, local allotment-grown vegetables and fruit to Aberdeen City.
TAMS aim to reduce waste, reduce food miles, and so improve our local environment. TAMS also aim to improve access to locally-grown vegetables and fruit that is seasonal and fresh from the allotments of Aberdeen by running market stalls.
These market stalls sell excess produce from allotments across Aberdeen during July, August, September, and October.
The value is excellent. Last year, Rob walked away from Duthie Park with a heavy carrier of veg and fruit for about £5.00

Watch and Pray
What are we watching for?
Our reactions to news
Reactions to each other
Reactions to gossip
Things that distract
Allowing Our selves chains of thought which lead us away from God -things that need to be done, said, relationships, things we want, need, financial constraints.
The only thing we can do is pray. It's too easy to promise something and then to break that promise. I’ve found that bringing my concerns, failures and prayers to God results in a clearer head and a knowledge of what to do to resolve the situation. Prayer works.
Matthew 26:41
Keep watch and pray that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Mark 14:38
And he said to them, “Keep watch, and pray that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Luke 21:36
Be on watch and pray always that you will have the strength to go safely through all those things that will happen and to stand before the Son of Man.”
1 Peter 3:12
For the Lord watches over the righteous and listens to their prayers; but he opposes those who do evil.”

Community Element - Broadband

Brian's Good News
For our second Community Element we start wading through the plethora of Broadband deals. At the end of the day, don't end up paying for more than you need. The categories below are a guide only.
Use Public internet facilities - Occasional looking up information
Pay as You Go Device for browsing/ occasional emails if no fixed abode and low income.
ADSL land line to 11 mb - personal emails/ more regular browsing, some TV services, social media- if only 1 - 2 people .
Fibre Broadband - families streaming, emails, social media, some gaming.
With the above, downloads are faster than up loads. The quoted bandwidths are for downloads
Fibre Optic to the Premises more expensive but caters for busy households and businesses with high band width. Uploads and downloads are the same speed. These may be 30mb - 1GB or higher.
Mobile Broadband is improving all the time. The current 4G is proving reliable and quite fast. It is soon to be joined by 5G with Fibre to premises speeds and higher. Soon line rental looks to be obsolete. People can already take their router with them when they travel and roam
There are a number of websites which can help. Have an explore and take time to weigh up the alternatives.

If you had thought about being the first person to propose on a paddle board, it's been done, at least in deed in Stonehaven by Ruari Dickie to his school sweetheart Sarah Steel. She was speechless but overjoyed. We have it on good authority that this story is very likely to make its way into Brian's Top Ten near the end of the year. For those following Brian's Good News, if you have heard a news story which impacted you and want it to be included, you can nominate it by emailing info@g4g.org.uk

Power Hour - ' The Most Important....'
Friday Jul 12, 2019
Friday Jul 12, 2019
Power Hour is about applying God's Word in Prayer.
Jesus highlighted several things by what he said and did while on earth. The most important is.
Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. (Mark 112 verse 29)
This edition seeks to provide more clarity to what Jesus said. We use prayer to do this.
The following scriptures were used.
Mark 12:28
[ The Most Important Commandment ] One of the teachers of religious law was standing there listening to the debate. He realized that Jesus had answered well, so he asked, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
Luke 10:25
[ The Most Important Commandment ] One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?”
27 The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”[c]
28 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!”
1 Corinthians 12:22
In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary.
1 Corinthians 15:3
I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as theScriptures said.
2 Peter 3:3
Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires.

'Therefore Go'
Our vision is to get the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ Son of God to people of every language group across the world and in such away that All can hear, see and experience Christ's Love for themselves.
This map gives an idea of our current reach. Bit by bit, we are attaining this vision.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
