Brian's Good News 1 March 2019

An Aberdeen couple entered a competition to celebrate 50 yers has won a prize.  The couple were married at Aberdeen’s Registry Office on Valentine’s Day and are still happily married with 4 grand children. Aberdeen Asda @asda gave the couple a bouquet of flowers and selection of chocolates.
A cat has been reunited with its owners in Stoneywood after being found 5 weeks after going missing. The cat called Rhu was found at the far side of the airfield at Aberdeen International Airport @ABZ_Airport by fire fighters from The Fire Training Group   who were on an exercise. The owners had contacted The Cat’s Protection  to see if they could help. The FTG contacted Cats Protection about Rhu.  Rhu was taken to the local vets to improve his body weight.
The Wee Hemp Company which we covered on a previous BGN has won Micro Business Of The Year by The national Federation of Small Businesses at an award in Edinburgh.
The Gathimba Edwards Foundation @GathimbaEdwards collected an amazing £50,657 at the latest gala dinner.  The Foundation began with 2 men Myles Edwards and Gideon Gathimba with the aim of giving children in Kenya a better start in life. The money raised will go to helping 32 businesses for families in Kenya and support 300 children through school.  This will help to reduce those on the waiting list.
