Rev Erastus Sorobi shares the highs and lows of being a pastor in the slums of Niarobi.   Its soon exam time at the school. There are contuinuing needs for salaries for the two teachers, watchman and cook also for school resources.  Hope Family Church continues to grow.

The Acomplishment of His suffering. death and Resurrection

Rev Eratus Sorobi brings the Good News of how Jesus Christ paid for each of us on the Cross and how we do not need to do anything to earn that. Simply accept.
Today Rev Erastus reads from Isaiah 73 verses 1-6
53 Who has believed our message
    and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
    and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
    nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
    a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
    he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
4 Surely he took up our pain
    and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
    stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
    and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
    each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all.
1 Peter 2: verse 24
. 24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

Fiona went to visit the British Heart Foundation shop on Union Street in Aberdeen.  She was also able to give a brief overview of what the British Heart Foundation does.

Rev Erastus Sorobi  speaks with passion that covenants are binding in God's sight.  Whether we know it or not, issues we encounter may be because of covenants entered into by others -our ancestors and leaders of  nations.  We need to pray for them regularly.  We can pray that evil covenants can be broken.
