How do we build on the rock of our salvation?
Speak to the rock! Ways to Speak to Jesus is through Prayer, plea, intercession - it’s called communicating with God. [Phil 4.6-7 The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.]

Gospel4You - 'Who Has Believed?'

God's message of Salvation is for whosoever - to all language groups.  This message is broadcast on terrestrial radio each Monday to countries around Europe, North Africa and The Middle East and on line.
37 Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him. 38 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet:
“Lord, who has believed our message    and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”[a]
This program features John 3 verse 16 as 'Your Gospel in  Danish, Chrambo of Bambalang in Cameroon, Narathi from South India and Indonesian.  The spread of these  languages from Europe Africa and Asia is our recognition of the degree of migration between continents.

Gospel4You is one important part of Gospel4Grampian's heart to Send out God's message of Salvation to language groups around the world.  We bring the essence of The Gospel as John 3:16 in Welsh,  Croatian and Xhosa.
Each episode follows a scripture from which we develop this week's theme - 'We reap what we sow'. Where possible the content reflects this
We hear a testimony from Diane McWilliam who was in conversation with Ruth Aird from Heart of the Matter. Diane works with the Cinnamon Network.
In the program, we include a conversation with Lola Dibiri on one of our other programmes - Gospel Cafe which is a bit of a melting pot. Gospel Cafe airs live on Gospel4Grampian on Monday evening at 7 pm - 9 pm and again on Friday 9 am - 11 am.

Bitterness - caused by anger and sorry - leads to hatred, revenge and murder (Jacob’s sons Simeon and Levi)
Unforgiveness leads to loss of inheritance due to traumatized outbursts - Genesis 49.5- 7 Jacobs blessings over Simeon and Levi were a response to their irresponsible conduct:
They became a divided nation and lost their power of influence.

THE POINT OF EASTER
1. Welcome to this edition of Gospel 4 you International. In this edition through a series of questions and scriptures, we aim to get you thinking.
What is the point of what we are doing as a radio station: We proclaim.
IGBO: Nnọọ-nu, na mbiputa nke Gospel for yọu “International” bu otu na-ahu maka izizara gi ozioma chineke n’ uwa niile, na mbiputaa, site n’usoro ajuju n’akwukwo nso, anyi bu n’obi ime ka I chee echiche gbasara ihe bu Ista .Gini bu isi ihe anyi na-eme dika ulọ-ọru radio anyi bu?
2. John 3 verse 16 found in the Bible says – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall nor perish but have eternal life.

How can God be both Holy and Just while loving each of us?

3. Even in Exodus chapter 15 verse 13 – “/in your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed in your strength, you will guide them to your Holy dwelling”

4. In 2 Corinthians chapter 13 verse 14- May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

5. This gift of Grace through Jesus Christ is for each person IGBO: Onyinye amara nke sitere na Jizọs Kraist bu maka onye Ọbula
6. Whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life

7. If those who accept have eternal life what happens to those who do not accept and when.
IGBO: Ọburu na ndi nabatara nwere ndu ebighi ebi, gini ga-eme ndi na- anabatagi n’ogea?
8. Luke chapter 12 verse 46. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

9. What happens in this place with the unbelievers. Matthew 25 verse 41- Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

10.Can this be true? John 14 verse 17 – The Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him, nor knows him. But you know him for he lives with you and will be in you.

11.The point of Easter is to give hope in eternal life made possible through Jesus Christ Son of God and to avoid the alternative.We believe in what the Bible tells us. We believe that Jesus Christ Son of God is Lord and Saviour, We believe that Jesus told believers to go and make disciples of all nations. That is why we do what we do.

Why do we need to find rest in God?
Because anything outside God is turmoil, chaos, fears, anxiety. John 10.10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 1 Peter 5.8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
John 16.33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Acts 17.28 For in him we live and move and have our being.
God’s Presence Gives us Rest

1 Peter 2.9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Ecclesiastes 11:9-10“Young people, enjoy your youth. Be happy while you are still young. Do what you want to do, and follow your hearts desire. But remember that God is going to judge you for whatever you do.
Proverbs 14.12 There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death. Proverbs 16.25 There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.
Ecclesiastes 1 - Everything Has Its Time
1To everything there is a season,A time for every purpose under heaven:
2A time to be born, And a time to die;
And so, “We must remember there are different seasons in our lives and let God do what He wants to do in each of those seasons.” as quoted by Ashley Evans
  Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

  Esther 4.14 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. 14For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
 
 
 15Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: 16“Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”
As you embrace your Young Adult life these are the exposures you will be faced with:
Developmental Tasks of Early Adulthood (https://open.maricopa.edu/devpsych/chapter/chapter-9-early- adulthood/) Ages 20-late 30’s - Havighurst (1972) describes some of the developmental tasks of young adults.
“It’s a time where you focus on:
Achieving autonomy: trying to establish oneself as an independent person with a life of one’s own
Establishing identity: more firmly establishing likes, dislikes, preferences, and philosophies
Developing emotional stability: becoming more stable emotionally which is considered a sign of
maturing
Establishing a career: deciding on and pursuing a career or at least an initial career direction and
pursuing an education
Finding intimacy: forming first close, long-term relationships
Becoming part of a group or community: young adults may, for the first time, become involved with
various groups in the community. They may begin voting or volunteering to be part of civic organizations (scouts, church groups, etc.). This is especially true for those who participate in organizations as parents.
Establishing a residence and learning how to manage a household: learning how to budget and keep a home maintained.
Becoming a parent and rearing children: learning how to manage a household with children.
Making marital or relationship adjustments and learning to parent.”

Joseph fleeing sexual sins - Gen 39. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance.7And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife [e]cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, “Lie with me.” 8But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. 9There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”
10So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her. 11But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, 12that she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside.
Cognitive Development in Early Adulthood - (https://open.maricopa.edu/devpsych/chapter/chapter- 9-early-adulthood/) Ages 20-late 30’s
 
Havighurst (1972) describes some of the developmental tasks of young adults.
“As young adults gain more experience, they think increasingly more in the abstract and are able to understand different perspectives and complexities. As a person approaches the late 30s, chances are they make decisions out of necessity or because of prior experience and are less influenced by what others think. Of course, this is particularly true in individualistic cultures such as the United States. Periods of transition last about five years and periods of stability last about seven years. The ages presented below are based on life in the middle-class several decades ago. Think about how these ages and transitions might be different today, or in other cultures, or for women compared to men.
Early adult transition (17-22): Leaving home, leaving family; making first choices about career and educationEntering the adult world (22-28): Committing to an occupation, defining goals, finding intimate relationships
Age 30 transition (28-33): Reevaluating those choices and perhaps making modifications or changing one’s attitude toward love and workSettling down (33 to 40): Reinvesting in work and family commitments; becoming involved in the community
“Adulthood is a period of building and rebuilding one’s life. Many decisions in early adulthood are made before a person has had enough experience to really understand the consequences of such decisions. And, perhaps, many of these initial decisions are made with one goal in mind – to be seen as an adult. As a result, early decisions may be driven more by the expectations of others. For example, imagine someone who chose a career path based on other’s advice but now finds that the job is not what was expected.”
1 Cor 13.13 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.Mat 26.41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Jesus at the age of 33 is telling His disciples this)
Be brave, if God say’s you can do it, then you can do it!
Jer 1.4-9 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 5“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;Before you were born I sanctified[a] you;I [b]ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
6Then said I: “Ah, Lord God!Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.”7But the Lord said to me:“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’For you shall go to all to whom I send you,And whatever I command you, you shall speak.8Do not be afraid of their faces,For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord.9Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
God anoints you, don’t allow your age to hinder God working in your life
1 Samuel 17. 31-45 Now when the words which David spoke were heard, they reported them to Saul; and he sent for him. 32Then David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.”
33And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”
34But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, 35I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. 36Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has
 
defied the armies of the living God.” 37Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”
38So Saul clothed David with his [c]armor, and he put a bronze helmet on his head; he also clothed him with a coat of mail. 39David fastened his sword to his armor and tried to walk, for he had not tested them. And David said to Saul, “I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them.” So David took them off.
40Then he took his staff in his hand; and he chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag, in a pouch which he had, and his sling was in his hand. And he drew near to the Philistine. 41So the Philistine came, and began drawing near to David, and the man who bore the shield went before him. 42And when the Philistine looked about and saw David, he disdained[d] him; for he was only a youth, ruddy and good-looking. 43So the Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. 44And the Philistine said to David, “Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!”
  Phil 4.13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
  Josh 1.9Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not
be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
With promotion comes responsibility:
David was appointed Captain of Israel’s army - Call to lead
  1 Samuel 18. 12 Now Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with him, but had departed from Saul. 13Therefore Saul removed him from [e]his presence, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people. 14And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the Lord was with him. 15Therefore, when Saul saw that he behaved very wisely, he was afraid of him. 30Then the princes of the Philistines went out to war. And so it was, whenever they went out, that David behaved more wisely than all the servants of Saul, so that his name became highly esteemed.
  1 Tim 4.12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
  Prov 3.5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
  David trusted God from His Youth...It’s in His Youth that God developed Him for great exploits Psalm 71.5 For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.
