WOAC On Air – 09 November 2023 Episode 73
Inspiration brought to you by WOAC on Air – Facilitated by Angelina ________________________________________________________________
Topic: We live by faith
There are two “natures in this world” and which ever we feed impacts our faith walk: 1.The carnal man– influenced by the natural senses and soul2. The Kingdom of God which is influenced by the Spirit of man.
Jesus is the Source of our Faith - Knowing Him gives us His FaithHebrew 12.1-2 The Race of Faith - 1Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and [b]finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Qualities of a person of Faith:Jesus the author of faith taught us how faith works:
Women of Africa Care Pty Ltd
1. Faith is a two-way relationship and we have to choose to walk in that way
Jesus had a personal committed relationship with the Heavenly Father
a) John 5.19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the
Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
b) David in relationship with Jesus and Holy SpiritPsalm 119:30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws.
c) The Christian life is living by “Faith” 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
d) Hebrews10:22-23...letusdrawneartoGodwithasincereheartandwiththefull assurance that faith (eyesight) brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. (Faith is a fruit of the spirit)
2. Faith Speaks – Creation was made through words spoken
Faith gives us the confidence to speak what is seen through spiritual vision
a) Genesis 1. 3Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. [b]So the evening and the morning were the first day.
b) John 12.49 - For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken.
c) Hebrews 11:1-3 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we
understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
3. Faith is Spiritual sight – Spiritual vision
4. Faith walks by seeing, hearing, respond (obedience )and doingLuke 5.4 Jesus told Peter cast your net Jesus had to have heard the Father in order to instruct Peter
1 Cor 4.18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are notseen are eternal.

spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk
in darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8.12
Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and [a]the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you—
Titus 2.11For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus
Christ, 14who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
15Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

WOAC On Air encouragement to listeners – The Big 5 imperatives of the Christian life!
WOAC addressing Christians, through Paul’s address to the church of Corinthians 1 Cor 3
1. Mere infants – we need to grow up-Spiritual Growth importance
2. We need to build for eternity
3 Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings?
5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. 10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.
3. Stop boasting about your leader so that they can maintain humility as God’s servants 8 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”[a]; 20 and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”[b] 21 So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours, 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas[c] or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, 23 and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.
4. We need to have respect for our bodies 16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s
temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
5. We need to embrace Godly Wisdom

'Therefore Go'
Our vision is to get the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ Son of God to people of every language group across the world and in such away that All can hear, see and experience Christ's Love for themselves.
This map gives an idea of our current reach. Bit by bit, we are attaining this vision.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
