In Brian's Good News today - 
Family, friends, and a football club are both in mourning but celebrating the life of Jordan Banks who died after being struck by lightening while playing football.  Jordan's heart was to raise money for others.  This year he raised £3,000 earlier this year for a mental health charity Counselling in The Community in memory of his Uncle.  Two Just Giving pages have raised almost £26,000 since Jordan's death.
A 75 year old is scaling the slopes of Bennachie every day in May to raise funds for the Gathimba Edwards Foundation which helps to give Kenyan Children the best start in life.
Piper Martin Johnson has been honoured to be one of 20 pipers to play at a special International performance as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations next year.  Each of the pipers were instructed to choose the location of their performance. Mr Johnson will perform at the Princess Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park in Braemar.
An Aberdeen Mum is calling for Castle Hill Housing Association to recognise that dogs be recognised as therapy animals.  Debbie Alexander was amazed to see how an adopted dog had transformed her autistic son's anxiety and anger within a week.  Castle Hill Housing Association has said that animals are not permitted on the premises.  Debbie is appealing and has escalated the issue.

This program makes The Gospel more available to people in many parts of the world.  We feature God's Word, The essence of the Gospel as Your Gospel, testimony, Kingdom Come -a program about mission and Prayer.
In this edition, we feature the first part of a reading describing the sequence of events which took place in 1949 in the early part of the Hebrides Revival which lasted until 1953.  The book featured above is edited by Alec Dunn

A modified version of the Nuart Aberdeen Street Art Festival will be taking place on streets in Aberdeen City Centre in coming weeks. The event has been organised by Aberdeen Inspired
The Creag Choinnich Race is set to return to raise funds for the conservation of Braemar Castle.
Union Terrace Gardens is undergoing a facelift at present. A part of the work being carried out involves cleaning of the granite which involves special conservation permissions.
A series of instructor led Health Walks from Aberdeenshire leisure centres is boosting people's confidence and fitness after lockdown.  Health Walks are taking place in; Turriff, Banff, Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Stonehaven, Potlethen, Huntly,  and Inverurie.  To find out more visit Live Life Well

Gospel4You - 3rd Episode - Unity of Response

Brian has selected three animal related stories this week. 
We start with the tale of two graffiti artists who have been invited to produce art work for a blank wall at Mrs Murray's Home for Stray Dogs and Cats. Skeps and Hobble Graff answered a social media post made by the home. Their work was judged just right and the pair have successfully brightened the outdoor area 
Aberdeen Cyrenians have teamed up with Street Vets - a charity providing free vet care for pets with homeless owners.  Pets are seen as a lifeline for their owners.  
Police Dogs and their handlers have been given leave to use Bon Accord baths Leisure Centre by Bon Accord Heritage. The baths are seen as just right for training the dogs with new surfaces, acoustics and smells.  The dogs were seen to have taken to the experience well. 
A tribute has been made to HRH Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh on his death by the minister Rev MacKenzie who is the Minister of Crathie Kirk and Domestic Chaplain to the Queen.  Rev MacKenzie described Prince Philip as "One of us." https://www.facebook.com/TheBritishMonarchy
